Tomorrow is Bank Holiday: Why? What to do?

Cyprus celebrates 25th March national holiday! Parades will be held across the island on Sunday to celebrate Greece’s independence from the Ottoman Empire in 1821. Roads in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos and Paralimni will be closed for celebrations

6:00: Early morning  Parade:

7:00: Launch of a Flag at the Municipal Palace: The Paralimni Philharmonic Orchestra “Harmony”

9:30: Formal Doxology at the Metropolitan Church of St. George 10:15: Thrash and deposition of wreaths at the hero monument

11:00: Provincial Parade on 1st April Boulevard (Coordinating-Organization) Paralimni Gymnasium. The Paralimni Municipality Philharmonic Orchestra “Harmony”.

Location

* The parade in the free area of ​​Famagusta will take place at 11am on the April 1st avenue in Paralimni. The road will be closed for traffic, from the height of the junction to the 28th October, until its contribution to Griva Digeni Avenue, from 10am. until 12.30am.
